Beginning of the End: Part 1 of 2

Preview: This is the first of a two-part lesson revealing the events of the end times.


Scripture Reading: Matthew 24:1-14.

Memory Verse: Matthew 24:15.

1. What takes place in the time of the end according to the Scripture Reading? Discuss.
2. What great trouble will appear just before Christ returns? Daniel 12:1.
3. What will take place for those who are in their graves? Daniel 12:2.
4. What will be the reward for the righteous? Daniel 12:3.
5. Did Daniel understand what he was writing? Discuss why. Daniel 12:5-8.
6. What did God tell him about this? Daniel 12:4, Daniel 12:9, Daniel 12:13.
7. Will the wicked ever understand what is taking place? Who will? Daniel 12:10, Revelation 22:10-11.
Note: In Daniel’s day, which was approximately 536 B.C., the end time prophesies were a mystery, a Sealed Book, however, in John the Revelator’s day, which was around 97 A.D. (some 439 years later), the Last Day Prophesies became an open book. As the Seals are broken, God’s people will understand, but the wicked will not understand.
8. How do we know that God reveals His secrets to His people? Amos 3:7.
9. How may we know that we are a child of God? Amos 5:4, I John 2:2-6.
Note: Only when we seek the Lord and obey His Commandments can we have the assurance that we belong to Him.
