Beginning of the End: Part 2 of 2

Preview: This is the second part of a two-part lesson entitled: Beginning of the End.


Scripture Reading: II Peter 3:1-10.

Memory Verse: I Thessalonians 5:3.

1. How would you say that the foregoing Scripture Reading and Memory Verse compares to what is taking place today?
2. Is there danger even for those who believe that these Scriptures are true? Explain. II Peter 3:17, II Peter 1:9, Luke 21:34-36.
3. What must be the conduct of those who believe that the end is near? II Peter 3:11-13.
4. What is the only insurance against failures? II Peter 1:4-8, II Peter 3:18.
Note: Salvation is not a game. Destruction is not a myth. Only those who put on the whole armor of God will escape.
5. What did Paul say about a falling away in the Church before the end comes? II Thessalonians 2:1-3.
6. How did he describe this man of sin? II Thessalonians 2:4, II Thessalonians 2:9.
7. What happens to those who do not love the truth? II Thessalonians 2:10-12.
Note: Today Jesus stands at the door of our hearts and knocks, if we will open the door, He will come in and abide with us. Then, and only then, can we love the truth.
8. What will happen to those who do not invite Him in? II Thessalonians 1:6-9, Matthew 24:50-51.
9. How will world conditions change to give evidence of things to come? Luke 21:25-26.
10. What will take place following these events? Luke 21:27-32.
Note: Through the so called New Age Network, we are seeing God’s people falling away from Bible truths. Very soon now we can expect this man of sin (the son of perdition), to be revealed. He will appear as an ‘Angel of Light’ and deceive many by his miracles and lying wonders. Only those who know and love the God of Creation and His Son Jesus Christ will be able to tell the genuine from the counterfeit.
