God the Creator - New Testament Witness: Part 4 of 13

Preview: An introduction of the God of Creation; the only true God. This is the fourth part of a thirteen-part series of lessons on this subject.


Scripture Reading: John 1:1-9.

Memory Verse: John 1:10.

1. Who did God the Father use to carry out His master plan of creation in the foregoing Scriptures?
Note: God was the Architect, the Master Designer of all creation, but Jesus was the Chief Builder. He did the work according to the Father’s plan.
2. How do we know that this Word is Jesus Christ? John 1:14-17.
3. Who has declared God to man? John 1:18 & John 8:25-29.
Note: The mission of Jesus the Son was to declare the glory of God the Father.
4. Did Jesus recognize the Father as Creator even though Jesus did the work of creation? Mark 13:19.
5. Can we accept one and reject the other? Matthew 11:27.
Note: Even some theologians seem to be confused about God and Jesus being one, but so also are husbands and wives. It is a spiritual bond that unbelievers cannot understand. This is one of the reasons we are seeing so little respect for the marriage vows. These things are only spiritually discerned.
6. Did the apostles understand that the Father and the Son are two separate beings? Acts 4:8-12, Acts 4:24 & Ephesians 3:10-11 & Ephesians 3:14.
7. What was Paul’s message to Greece? Acts 17:16, Acts 17:22-25 & Acts 17:28.
8. Did He make one nationality superior to another? Acts 17:26-27 & Ephesians 3:8-9.
Note: The only thing that makes one person different from another is his relationship with God. Unfortunately, in all races, we find those who think they were born better than others.
9. What was Paul’s message to the Hebrews? Hebrews 1:1-2 & Hebrews 1:9.
10. What is the only hope for any nation? Hebrews 2:1, Hebrews 3:12, Hebrews 3:15 & Revelation 14:7.
