Preview: This is the fifth part of a thirteen-part series entitled: Armor of God.


Scripture Reading: Romans 6:1-12.

Memory Verse: Revelation 3:20.

1. How do we put on the breastplate of righteousness according to the foregoing Scripture Reading and Memory Verse?
2. What kind of power does this breastplate give us? John 1:12-23, I John 5:4 & I John 5:14.
3. What are some of the attributes of righteousness? Deuteronomy 6:25, Ephesians 5:9-10, Romans 4:19-22, I John 3:14 & I John 3:16.
4. How do we obtain this piece of armor? Jeremiah 29:13, Psalm 119:2, Psalm 119:10, Psalm 119:34 & Romans 6:17-18.
5. What will be our fate if we only have an outward show of being righteous? Matthew 23:28-33.
6. How important is humility in receiving God’s righteousness? Luke 18:10-14.
7. How can we know for sure that our breastplate is real? I John 2:1-6 & I John 2:10-11.
Note: The breastplate of righteousness protects the heart. In Scriptures, the heart is used as the seat of life; therefore, it covers one’s mind, soul, and spirit. One’s entire emotional nature and understanding is involved. We will never win the battle without the breastplate (God’s righteousness) which produces faith, love, and obedience in our lives.
