Get Acquainted With the Missionary

Preview: A lesson concerning the path and duties of a missionary of God’s Holy Word.


Scripture Reading: Acts 1:1-8.

Memory Verse: Acts 1:8.

1. Before one can become a missionary what does he need to possess? Acts 1:8.
2. What will this enable him to do? Matthew 10:1 & Luke 24:49.
3. What are some of the duties a missionary has to perform? II Timothy 4:2-5 & Matthew 10:8-14.
4. What message should he preach? Matthew 10:7.
5. When should the missionary prepare his sermon? Matthew 10:19-20.
6. What are some of the dangers which he faces? Matthew 10:17-18 & Matthew 10:21-22.

Note: A missionary cannot work without tools. These tools include the power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God. He is then faced with a tremendous task which may even cost him his life. He doesn’t need to fear, however, because he has Christ’s promises: “…and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.” Matthew 10:39 and “…but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.” Matthew 10:22. As we continue to study these lessons may we be challenged to be God’s missionaries.
