Preview: A lesson on why some people will never understand God’s Word. This is the first part of a two-part lesson on this subject.


Scripture Reading: Proverbs 2:1-17.

1. Were the mysteries of Heaven understood by all in Christ’s time? Matthew 13:11-13 & Mark 4:11-12.
2. What was the condition of the people? Matthew 13:14-15.
3. Are there prophets and righteous men who have desired the understanding that God’s children have? Matthew 13:17.
4. What happens to the man who hears and cannot understand? Matthew 13:19.
5. What did Jesus say was the trouble with the non-understanding Jews? John 8:43-44.
6. Should we lean on our own understanding? Proverbs 3:5-7.
7. In what condition is one who gets wisdom and understanding? Proverbs 3:13.
8. Can we have understanding when we are against the Lord? Proverbs 21:29-30.
9. What will the Lord do to the men who are mouth worshipers only? Isaiah 29:13-14 & I Corinthians 1:19.
10. Who is to feed us with knowledge and understanding? Jeremiah 3:15.
Note: The world today stands in a deceived condition without understanding because of the false prophets feeding the people lies and false doctrines.
